1978
Business registered in the name of "Swans Coaches". Acquired a 1966 - 29 seater duple-bodied Bedford coach from an operator based in Halifax
1980
Moved to the Gem Garage, Chadderton, Oldham, which was owned by Stan Lomas (Judith's dad) who operated Whitegate Coaches
1989
Swans continued to expand and re-invest with the purchase of late model second-hand vehicles. Moved into a rented yard in Chadderton operating from Portacabins.
1989

2000
Company changed name to Swans Travel. Started to replace vehicles by purchasing new Volvo Plaxton bodied vehicles.
2004
Swans became a limited company. Reno Peers joined the company.
2005
Designed and built a new operating centre named “Stanley House” in memory of Judith’s dad. Further new vehicles purchased based on Scania, Mercedes and DAF chassis with a variety of bodies.

Safety
Safety is a top priority when it comes to any passenger transport businesses. Ensuring safety of passengers and staff alike is the highest concern for our business. All of our vehicles are fitted with the highest quality cameras which identify driving behaviours to ensure our drivers are of the highest specification. Our vehicles have a maintenance regime of 35 days which follow robust policies and procedures that keep everyone safe while traveling.
